Add Fit to Artboard option to Rectangle Tool
In the current situation, enter the size of the Rectangle by writing numbers or drawing it manually
My suggestion is to add a feature inside the Rectangle box (Fit to artboard)
I think this feature will save a lot of time
For clarification, see the attachment

I would love to be able to double click the square button and have it fill the artboard with a square for an automatic background. I believe CorelDraw has this feature and I loved it when I used to use Corel.

I think this would be a lot quicker than having to find the height and width of the artboard, then go back to the rectangle tool and either type or copy and paste the dimensions in every time.

Hello sir, Please add a button when we click on that button to sense canvas size and give a canvas size shape

Yeah, creating an artboard sized rectangle is a very common operation indeed.
There is script that does that, named after a removed Release Artboard command in CS4, when multiple artboards were introduced.
Rename the attached file to .jsx instead of .txt and make an action that runs it. -
Ryan, I had a script that does exactly this. If you remember, before CS4 we had only one artboard, and there was a command 'Release Artboard' that converted an artboard into a rectangle. So this is why the script is called like that :) (rename it to .jsx from .txt)
And sure, it should be a default function, both Scale to artboard and Create an Artboard Sized Rectangle.

At the moment, when a shape tool is active an you click on your artboard, you have an option to insert size...
Most of the time we just want the size of the artboard. I made a sample of what it could be like in the attachment .

Please can we have a way to improve the speed of adding a background rectangle to artboards.
A simple implementation could be to add a button to 'make artboard size' to the input box when double clicking to create a rectangle.
Alternatively a button on the toolbar to simply add a rectangle that is artboard size with your currently set colours would be even faster.
