Export multiple artboards with 'Save for web'
It would be very useful and a huge time-saver to have the option to export multiple artboards with 'Save for web'. Currently you can only do 1 artboard at a time, and if you have a lot of artboards to export then it gets old real fast and takes up valuable time.
Auto-populating the file name would be amazing too. When you do a regular export, it exports the files with what you named each artboard. But when you do 'Save for Web', you have to enter the file name each time.

'Save for web' is perfect, the quality is great and I like the smaller file sizes. The only problem is that you have to export each artboard individually which takes up so much time. That's what I liked about 'Export for screens', you can export multiple artboards at once.
Thanks for sharing the other reports! One of the reports suggested doing 'Export for screens' and changing from 1x scale to 96 ppi. I tried it but it's still choppy so I'll have to stick with exporting each individual artboard for now.

Yeah, this is what I am aware off, and that’s why I asked you to try it and review the results...
Export for Screens uses a completely different approach to rasterizing the artwork. It’s MUCH faster, but it doesn’t work as great as the legacy method.
If this gets fixed, what else makes you unhappy with the method?
See, there are several reports about bad rasterization Export for Screen has:
1. https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/38987995
2. http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33851182
3. http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/34636129
and more.
Some of them are about the quality problems only for JPEGs, others are general requests about making the rasterization for the Export for Screens on par with the Save for Web.
What other things you find better in S4W method, other than quality issues? -

Hi Egor, yeah I've tried the 'Save for screens' option but the exported image ends up appearing a bit choppy, not sure why. So 'Save for web' is the only way to still have a smaller file size suitable for web while keeping smooth details. I've attached a screenshot showing what I'm talking about.

Isabelle, have you tried Export for Screens? It allows to export chosen artboards at once, and to setup up a naming convention (somewhat).
If you did try it, please describe why you still prefer using Save for Web for exporting images still?(Edited by admin)
