Harmonizing Adobe Illustrator App with Website Icons and Selection Tools
If Adobe Illustrator on the app matched the website, it'd be easier to get the hang of things. Take a cue from Affinity Designer—having a similar layout on the app as the website makes learning smoother. Imagine being on your iPad while the instructor's on the website, but it all looks and works the same way. That kind of consistency, including toggles and tool names, would be a real plus for the Illustrator app.

Joetta, can you please share an example of the discrepancy you noticed between the website and the app?
The screenshot provided looks normal to me... Am I missing something?I am sure and I know discrepancies exist, but to face it — Ai is 36 years old, and it had the manual online for quite a while, and has been redesigned a dozen of times. Affinity Designer... let’s say ~5 times. They don’t have match to sync and update now.
To match all the training materials screenshots Ai has with the actual state of the app will take a lot of effort. I suppose if the screenshot don’t differ that much from the way the UI looks now, it’s left for good.
Plus, it’s also about color UI schemes, UI scaling, OS differences...Still — please do share any inconsistences in naming, mismatches of all sorts. The team monitors the space and the factual errors do get fixed when reported. Thank you!
