Allow to hold Opt/Alt while using Lasso tool to toggle freeform / polygonal modes, like in Photoshop
Make lasso tool like Photoshop so you can use the Option click with more detail.

Ah, I see. This is a thing I either never knew or totally forgot.
I suppose it’d be hard to implement, because Ai and Ps treat modifier keys differently. This usage though is similar to how Ai treats them — 'active while being held', unlike 'hold before click but feel free to release after' Ps uses.

If you hold down Option before you start to use the lasso tool in photoshop the lasso tool becomes a combination of the polygonal lasso and the standard lasso tool. This allows for more detailed selections.

Steve, holding Opt/Alt for Lasso in Ps makes it subtract for an existing selection, just like Ai’s one does...
So what you mean by 'with more detail'?
Perhaps you refer to a Polygonal Lasso? Can you please elaborate?
