Quick access to the grid:
Allow the grid to be activated directly from the main interface and to personalize the isometric grid or the classic grid , without having to navigate through the software settings or preferences. video demonstration 4Management of multiple canvases:
Not only allow multiple canvases to be displayed in the same workspace and make it easier to copy and paste one or more objects between canvases (something that is already present), but more importantly offer the ability to flip the canvas and rename the canvas name directly and immediately. video demonstration 3Advanced snapping options (magnet/calamite).
Provide more options for snapping functionality, such as:
Snapping to objects
Snapping to the grid
Snapping to guide lines
Snapping to canvas edges
Snapping to distances and reference dimensions
Snapping to shapes and tangents
Snapping at points
Snapping by collision and formation
Ensure that these options can be used simultaneously without conflict, as is already the case in Affinity Designer and VectorStyler more or less. image magnet 1,2

Welcome to UV! Glad you have an experience with both VectorStyler and Affinity Designer.
Most of things you asked here are already made as requests, and some have pretty high vote count.
The problem is though these are may, and the team struggles with prioritizing things to improve.
That’s why it’s important to log these as separate requests, one item per post, and not bundle these together into a nameless list — it makes is tougher to weight and notice in general.Unfortunately, UV allows to split entries like this in two parts only, and then each new part can’t be split anymore... so I can’t do that for you :(
1. Grid — do not recall a dedicated request like this, but there is one about more customizable grids: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32403802
2. Artboards — there is to display names on canvas all the time (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/40405873), but nothing about renaming them directly on canvas (this should always be an option, since sometimes it’d be extremely annoying). Nothing I recall about flipping, but there was something about rotating 90°
3. Advanced snapping — sure there is one, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/34733398When will these features be released? These decisions are made by the team, based on the technical availability, free engineering resources, vote count and comments (something we can influence). So no dates, until announced.
