An ability to select objects only within the marquee, as in CorelDRAW
Is it possible to select items in a way similar to CorelDRAW, where only those within the selection box are selected, and those that touch the selection box but are not enclosed by it are not selected, even if they touch the box? I hope there can be an additional selection option for this.
Recent versions of Illustrator now offer the Enclosed mode we can toggle while using the selection marquee.
It was requested here originally, and is still quite raw, but can help in some cases. Please follow the comment thread there for more solutions.

To improve Illustrator (Desktop), it would be great to add an option similar to CorelDRAW's selection method, where objects are only selected if they are fully enclosed within the marquee. Currently, Illustrator selects any object that touches the selection box, which can be frustrating when you only want to select items completely within the boundaries. Introducing an additional selection mode—where only objects fully contained within the marquee are selected—would enhance precision and workflow for users, especially when dealing with complex designs. This would be a useful addition to Illustrator’s selection options and could be toggled on or off depending on the user's needs.
