There should be a way to select a different font folder. That way we don’t have to scroll through ALL of our system fonts

Adobe apps allow to use a special folder to load fonts that are no installed into the System fonts folder...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts\ (you can create 'Fonts' manually if it’s missing)
The method is quite obsolete now and was widely used 10 years ago, when it helped to make sure fonts get loaded by apps at all.But this won’t solve the problem with NOT viewing the system fonts...
There is a separate request for this, Hide / disable unwanted fonts — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/35245678
Would you mind me merging your request into it?
