Eyedropper able to select colors from outside Illustrator, dual monitors
The eyedropper could be used to select colors from another window outside of Illustrator. As an example, a Google Chrome window with a photograph that is being displayed on a second screen. This would mean the eye dropper tool would persist outside of the Illustrator window constraints. This could be cancelled by pressing ESC or returning to Illustrator and clicking a different tool. (This would eliminate the need to import the photograph or artwork into Illustrator to sample the colors.)

I am able to click a fillable object, then click the eyedropper tool, but when moving the mouse outside of the Illustrator window the eyedropper changes to a standard pointer. I'd like to be able to select a color from an open web page or perhaps my desktop background. I could use a color wheel as a background and always have it available for Illustrator to sample from.

Hmm... Illustrator recently learnt to sample outside of the main window...
Does it work for you at all if you click the canvas first and then drag it outside? Or does it work but fails when you drag it over the next monitor?
