  1. Illustrator 2018 quits when I save. "Save as" works, but not save. It also creates a temp pdf file.

  2. Illustrator CC 2018 (Mac) Crashes Affects ALL CC Programs

    illustrator CC2018 crashes about every third or fourth time I "Save AS" an EPS. Freezes immediately AND freezes any open CC programs. Have to Force Quit all to restart each. This is getting old, fast.

  3. Exporting SVG 1.2 Tiny gives a metadata / namespaces error

    I use Illustrator CC 2017 21.1.0.
    When exporting an Illustrator document to SVG 1.2 tiny and open in Dreamweaver CC2017 or another editor I receive an error on the Illustrator metadata / namespaces like:

  4. このファイルを部分的にしか読み取ることができませんでした

    「可能な限りファイルを復元しましたが、一部のコンテンツが欠落している可能性があります。」

    とエラーメッセージが出て、開くと１２ページほどあったアートボードが最初の１ページだけになっていました。
    ３０時間以上かけて作ったデータが謎のエラーで消えました・・・。

    自動保存されたデータはないのでしょうか？

  5. Save error with embedded PDF (Unknown error occurred)

    Just updated CC to latest version on my MacBookPro 2017, and now I am unable to save a ill document which contains an embedded PDF inside. PDF was created from a scan on a Xerox WorkCentre 7855.

    PS: Why can't I copy content from file info in file Properties? That is just dumb!

  6. Too many bugs. Laggy!

    Too much bugs.. Can't open two files at the same time. Stuck at the Recent files screen. Regret getting this version installed.. Nobody check this in adobe before it goes live for download? We are not testers, we pay to use it in our companies for our clients. Do not release new versions full of bugs pls! I beg you ADOBE!

  7. Not Responding every time PDF saved

    Every time I save my work as a PDF file my Illustrator freezes for up to 10 minutes at a time. This makes productivity EXTREMELY slow and frustrating!

  10. SVG href property exports incorrectly

    When illustrator exports SVGs, it sometimes will use the href property to reference something like an embedded image or gradient from the <defs>, which is reasonable. Docs for the href property here:

    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/SVG/Attribute/href

    However, safari does not support href yet, and will completely drop the reference, making SVGs widely render incorrectly in safari, up to the latest version. In order to make them work properly, the deprecated xlink:href property must also be used, docs below:

    All bases can be covered by including both the href and xlink:href properties, until all modern browsers have fully adopted the SVG2 spec.

  11. Can't export a PNG file ([now!] error)

    Hello,

    I am trying to export my illustration in PNG at 300 dpi, but every time it is showing me the attached error. It's not with this file only. Even if I am trying to export a simple rectangle, I am getting the same error. I am using windows 8.1 pro and illustrator version is 2018.

    Kindly help.

  12. Changing size in export doesn't change size

    When exporting files via Save As, if I change the size, it doesn't update the actual export size until I do something else, like toggle the clip to artboard on and off or change from optimize for Art to for type. This has been a persistent error across versions of Illustrator and MacOS for some time.

    Once you hit tab to leave that portion of the export dialogue, it should update without any additional steps.

  15. Files Breaking on Save after creating Saved Swatch Library

    Illustrator v22.0.1: We use art tiles to create repeat prints for textile printing. There is a bug that cause my original .eps files to become garbled after I have used that .eps file to create a saved swatch library. STEP1.png shows the original art file and its save options. STEP2.png shows creating a pattern from the art and its associated settings. STEP3.png shows saving the swatch library (I removed all of the standard Illustrator swatches as they are unnecessary for the custom swatch library).   16. PDF does not preserve Illustrator editing capabilities!!

    I upgraded two days ago to the new version of Illustrator. I've been saving PDFs with 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' for years. Now when I do it, it's flattening the PDFs and not allowing editing as normal. It has totally ruined two of my complex files and I've lost hours of work.

    Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix?

  17. Saving PDF Security override by gmail

    Dear sir or madam,

    I've noticed as i saved PDF in CS6 to send to a Client and i used password protection with no permissions (printing, copying....)

    And the thing is, if you open the email att. in this case My protected PDF in gmail preview - you can print it with no problems. And if you print to a PDF file, you get the same PD minus the Password protection.

    I think this could be a big issue.

    So i see google's gmail now as an easy fool proof password hack tool.

    Today i installed Illustrator last version.

    When we click a smart object in photoshop, illustrator open bit doesnt open the vector we are trying to work from smart object.

  20. CC 2018 PGN Exporting looking worse than CC 2017

    When using Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 back then, exporting a HUGE resolution, Inked Lineart via File->EXport As->PNG-> High 300 ppi + Art Sampled + Transparent..

    Whenever i open that file on Photoshop CC 2017, the line art looks CRISP, stylish, soft, with no dead pixels like showing off..And Photoshop CC 2017 detects it with a 19kx20k Resolution.

    NOW, when using THE SAME EXPORT SETTINGS but on illus' CC 2018, the exporting looks instant...Oh yeah, great... But when i open it on PSCC2017....The lineart looks VERY THIN, 1px like, with greyed out dead pixels.

    Please do NOT break out what's working…
