Illustrator (Desktop) Bugs
When reporting a bug, please provide a detailed description with the following:
- Details of your operating system
- The version of Adobe Illustrator (desktop)
- The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues
- Your expected result and the actual result
- Upload your Illustrator file or a video (screen recording or gif, this helps us most to reproduce the issue and resolve it)

The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. CANT
Since the last update.. Every time I try to trace & make something. I get this error message "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. CANT" then the placed image I tried to trace disappears and only an empty selection box remains. If i do "undo" the image will return. How come I cannot trace anymore? What can I do to fix it?

Image automatically gets embedded when dragged into Illustrator
This is screwing my work flow and happens out of nowhere

Eyedropper picks wrong color from linked images compared to embedded ones
When sampling color from placed bitmap image in illu, it samples different values the the values in the original file.
That way if I have a picture with dark black background and I want to place it on a larger canvas with text, I can't sample the black and create a larger vector shape as background. If I do sample it, the print will show a difference in color and will not be approved (or worse will be printed like that)
Support said I should open the file instead of placing it, but what should I do if I want…
