Image automatically gets embedded when dragged into Illustrator
This is screwing my work flow and happens out of nowhere

It appears that when you place an image in the file that it embeds the image but if you drag it from your finder into illustrator it doesn’t.

Are you going to file--->place? If so when you select your image make sure that the box that says Link is checked. I had the same problem and found for some reason that box had become unchecked.

Yesterday it was fine and then poof one day everything goes down the drain, I have reinstalled it, reload my Adobe, restrated my computer, nothing works. Please help me because this is very bad to my workflow.
