Warning Message "Partially selected objects..." Repeated
The warning message repeats:
"Partially selected objects cannot be set as key objects. In order to set an object as a key object, make sure the entire object is selected and try again."
10 votesThe problem no longer happens in latest releases, like 26 and 27.

Can't resize objects, issue with selection tool
Can't resize objects like images or text boxes once they have been placed. Could only use scale and rotate for resizing items. Seems the selection tool isn't working as it should, or it's illustrator itself. I've seen this seems like a recurring problem over the years
1 voteThis often happens when the bounding box gets accidentally turned off, presumably with the Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+B hotkey. You can turn it back on with this key or do it with the View > Show Bounding Box command.

Can NOT see what is selected!
Selecting an Object or text no longer gives any indication that it is selected! No handles, no highlighting. I updated to 27.5 and it seemed like it worked for a few clicks, but has reverted back. I can't see that it is a setting, and can't seem to get the expected behavior back. It is ridiculously difficult to work on a file when you have to just assume something is selected!!
1 voteIt happens if you accidentally toggle the View > Show Edges command with Cmd/Ctrl + H hotkey.

Cannot move Guide line even when it is unlocked
Cannot move "Guide" line with selection tool or direct select tool even when the layer of "guide" is unlocked. Been happening for a week now.
1 voteGuides in Illustrator can be locked in two ways: separately, as any other object, or all at once, using View > Guides > Lock/Unlock Guides command, which is independent of the common way, and won’t allow you to unlock guides later one by one, only all of them together.

Selecting and moving points
When I select a curve that has another element behind, and then try to select a point to move it, most of the time I end up selecting and element behind this point (another curve or layer). So to avoid this I end up locking all element except the one I'm working on it, if I don't end up loosing a lot of time doing this point selection over and over...
My guess is you should establish some virtual lock while this moving operation are happening, or some priority hierarchy...
Another problem is while I move the point I'm pressing…1 voteThe issue got solved by increasing the Tolerance value in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, from 3px to a larger value.
If you want to request it to be device-independent, or self-adjusting, or anything like that — please make it a separate request.

Unit increments are not correct
I set my keyboard increments at 0,1 mm so when I click on an object I can move it by that amount, or when I use the shift-key it moves with 1 mm. However, it moves with 1 pt increments. Very annoying.
1 voteThe issue got resolved with a fresh installation.
In case the same happens to you — please check all the snapping options in the View menu, especially Snap to Pixel, and the Keyboard Increment value in Preferences > General.
