Envelope, Warp, and mesh distort tools
Same as on the full version, something that’s definitely missing from the iPad version.

Envelope distort is a widely used and helpful tool. The iPad version needs this function.

The IPAD version is incredibly limited. I’d like to warp text, reshape fonts and more. This is a major limitation. I bought the best IPAD Pro with an M2 processor simply to create graphic design for my clothing brand and we’re unable to design anything unique related to font styles and true design.

Just use Affinity Designer for iPad. Has so much more to offer.

Thank you for letting me know. Although this isn’t good to hear as I am now essentially left with a limited product of yours which was not what I was sold. Also this now leaves me with a new iPad for which I still can’t get what I need from it, so I’ve been seriously screwed over here.
Please add my vote yes and do you have any indication when these features will be put on iPad as the tech is there so why is it not the same
-
Ah, now I get it. This feature is called Envelope Distortion, and no, Charlie, at the moment there is no way to do the same on iPad version of Ai.
I am now trying to protect the iPad version, but as far as I know, the product was never advertised as a full replacement for the desktop app — because is surely is not, and many obvious tools are not there.
There is a general request to for this specific feature, a quite popular one:

Do you mind me merging your request with it, to add your vote? -

Hi Egor,
By my comment I mean when I see someone on desktop they create a circle or warped circle shape and add lines that go across the object to make section divides. They then are able to add text to fit into those sections and fill that warped shape they created. This is a top function for designers so I’m upset that when being sold the iPad version I was not made aware how lacking it is compare to the desktop software.
Is there any solution to allow this function on iPad version?
Thank you -
Charlie, can you provide some explanation on this?
What do you mean by 'text fill shapes in the same format'? Can you make a screenshot of it, maybe, or just explain? -

This is so frustrating, I got the iPad and iPad version of this app for functionality and all I’m finding is problems, this makes me want a full refund for everything as nothing is performing as it is for others on desktop

This needs to be fixed, I want the same features as desktop on iPad now

I’d rather work on my iPad but I have to use a laptop for most of the features. It’s not user friendly

The lack of this feature is one of the main reasons why i go to desktop and not stay full on iPad! Please hurry it!

Can you please add the envelope distort feature please! I have seen users have been asking back in 2020 for this to be added to the app version…
