Hmm, strange... I can’t reproduce it in 29.2.1 on Windows 10...
Does it happen with any art you try to create a brush from at all? -
Version V 29.2.1

it is only witho the pattern brushes. All other types of brushes are not affected. I have a regular Illustrator version

Do you refer to Beta specifically? Have you tried it in a ordinary release?
Does it happen for any brush type Illustrator offers?
