   I am having the same issue in October 2020 - Illustrator just sits there and now I can't even make changes to my art work because the whole program is broken. There appear to be no tools to help me diagnose the issue - AT ALL??

   Meanwhile, I have worked on far more complex works in this program - no idea why Illustrator 2020 is so broken and pathetic right now.
