    I have this same issue! Please issue an update to Illustrator to fix this!
    I am using Illustrator 26.1 (updated March 16, 2022) on Monterey 12.3 on MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019) with 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 Memory: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4. When I tried to Save As for a new file or an existing file, the pop-up menu freezes. I cannot click on Desktop or any local drive to save. Saving to the cloud brings up another menu but I need to be able to save locally. The Save button is grayed out and the Cancel button doesn't cancel the save. I can only force quit. This only happened after I upgraded to 12.3 on March 15, 2022.
