    I am using windows software and have exited illustrator and updated to v 27.1.1 and am experiencing this issue as well. In the screenshot, I've selected an anchor on the point of the blue zig zag shape and you cannot tell. The handle isn't shown up as Beulah said.

    I am not experiencing this in photoshop, would attach another screenshot showing that when I take this shape into photoshop as a path, the anchors and handles show up and the direct selection tool is just generally working over there.

    Unfortunately the anchor tool - as any designer knows - usually reallly shines in illustrator, in Photoshop it is not my favorite and I don't enjoy creating shapes in photoshop as much as I do in illustrator.
