Oh, gosh. I thought Adobe had finally fixed it all. Tim, it would useful if you mentioned what OS you use, its language and your input language as well.

It is working now. It's been a couple of weeks that I noticed it has been fixed.

I don't know why, but once again Adobe sent me an email asking me to come here to vote. And here I am reinforcing that this issue is critical.

I will also repeat that the workaround Adobe has suggest isn't suitable, nor is the use of an English keyboard (or English input) .

Please solve this bug first, then contact me again.

I am Brazilian, and my keyboard is also Brazilian, thus the key before number 1 IS NOT the tilde, but the DOUBLE QUOTES/SINGLE QUOTE. When my keyboard input is configured to PT, I can use this key to create multiple objects while holding it down (the so-called tilde trick, as I have found on the internet), but I CANNOT move a pattern inside an object. If I change the input language to English, I can do both actions.

As you can see, the problem does not have to do with the (physical) keyboard itself, but with the language input. When it is set to English, I can use the key before number 1 either to create multiple objects by creating one while holding it down or move a pattern inside an object, by selecting the object, holding down the key and using the mouse or the arrow keys. When my input language is set to Portuguese (which is the language I actually use daily), I can only perform the fist action mentioned (create multiple objects), but not the move pattern action.

I have reported it twice to Adobe. The first time was last year. By that time, someone called me and accessed my computer remotely, but then nothing else was done. Adobe closed my case without solving it. It was no surprise as I have found the same problem reported in 3 or 4 different pages, as this one here, with not a line from Adobe. Last week I contacted them once more. Again, someone called me, accessed my computer remotely, checked everything, told me that he would call again on the following day - which did not happen - and now Adobe sent me an email with an workaround (object > Transform...) which does not give me the precision I need when moving a pattern (I want to move and see it moving at the same time, not enter any given amount to see the effect later). The email also suggests that I change my keyboard to English, which IS NOT an option, as I am Brazilian, I live in Brazil, my keyboard is Brazilian and I write mostly in Portuguese. Adobe also asked me to come here and vote, and so I did.

I do hope that now Adobe finally decides to fix this bug. It is time Adobe do something. There are people waiting for this for over 2 years and a half.
