    I tested this again and if I check off the "Suffix" box and export the file twice, I get an overwrite notification (which is good).

    If I try the same test and uncheck the "Suffix" box and export that file twice, I do not get an overwrite notification (which is not good).

    Are you suggesting that this is proper behavior?

    Good morning. I was having the same issue and can confirm that this Beta fix works as expected for me.

    I have a document with instructional objects visible on a Template Layer. Whenever I'd export the file to a JPG, the objects on the Template Layer were not exported (as expected). Unfortunately, this is no longer working properly. The items on the Template Layer are now visible on my exported JPG file.

    PC Windows 11 Pro
    Illustrator Version 29.3.1
    Here's an example of what I mean.

    MY AI FILE
    Layer 1 is set as a Template with a yellow square on it.
    Layer 2 is set as a standard layer with a green square on it.

    Up until now, when I exported this to a JPG file, I'd get RESULT_A

    But now, the template layer is being exported too so I'm getting RESULT_B
