I don't get a crash reported dialog because Illustrator doesn't crash . What was crashing were in-app pop up windows (so, system pop-up windows related to illustrator were fine, illustrator tabs and instances that were not pop-up were fine, but the in-app pop-up windows would crash).
This started happening less than a month ago. I tried reinstalling, switching to a previous version, deleting cache, etc.
I actually managed to fix it, but it was through a slightly inconvenient manner. I had a feeling this has happened before and dug deeper, then found out an old post by a Brazilian user I visited before about this issue. Actually, our government-based bank requires a security app that, for some reason, at some point causes this conflict with Adobe Illustrator.
