I'm using Illustrator on Mac right now, but for an upcoming project, I've got a new designer collaborating with me. As far as I am aware it is impossible to have two users simultaneously edit the same Illustrator document, instead one user must complete their work, save and then close the document before you can edit it. This is no better than quite literally ping-ponging .AI files over email nor so much as uploading it to an SSD and sending it via carrier pigeon, and is not en efficient way of working.

It's vital that Illustrator makes use of the cloud integration it has and allows real time synchronous collaboration and teamwork.
