We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in update.
Or get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.htmlWarm Regards,

You can try Option+Command+Shift which should delete prefs; it may or may not help. It didn't help for me but try it anyways.
Backup your plugins if you have any.
Using the Creative Cloud App, uninstall Illustrator.
When prompted to delete preferences, choose to delete them.
Once Illustrator is deleted, re-install it.
When you start Illustrator for the first time press Option+Command+Shift. There's no reason to because preferences should have been deleted: I do the keypress because it's voodoo and makes me feel better too.
Illustrator opened fine, I created a complex file and saved it. It took a while but it did; no crashes or freezes.
I quit illustrator and created a simpler file (again voodoo) and saved it. No problems. SO FAR.
I hope this helps.
If it doesn't help, Ashutosh or another engineer can take a look into your machine. I'm not sure if that's a literal look or a figurative, if it's on-site or you have to mail the machine to Adobe...
[I wasted a lot of my time, my clients time and I was pretty upset... I'm allowed a joke at the end of the day, aren't I?]
