78 votesAs you probably know, Illustrator today allows to change this behavior with a dedicated option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display section. However, it’s not that accessible, especially when you are already move and copy your artboards. If you wish this option to be more exposed, consider upvoting this request: Display Move Locked and Hidden Artwork with Artboard option in Control panel and Properties while using Artboard tool / mode An error occurred while saving the comment 
 
          
Please, Adobe, get back into being the leaders in the industry, not because there's nothing else in the market, but because you are the best. Lately I feel so left down with some of you decisions and bugs that when asked "Would you recommend X Adobe product to a person" I hesitate between 7-8. It used to be always a 10 in my mind, but it feels that one incarnation of your current version is never complete with so many loose bugs out there. I would strengthen the programs you are known for (PS, IL, ID, DW...) instead of coming out with new, and not always cool, programs.
