    This often happens when the bounding box gets accidentally turned off, presumably with the Cmd/Ctrl+Shift + B hotkey. You can turn it back on with this key or do it with the View > Show Bounding Box command.

    Another possible reason is having edges hidden, with Cmd/Ctrl + H (View > Show Edges).

    I uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator. Now it is working fine. Not sure why it stopped working.

    When I try to resize my artwork with the Selection tool, it does not resize the artwork anymore. It just moves the artwork. Fortunately, I can still use the Free Transform Tool to resize objects and artwork. This is on Windows 10 in Illustrator CC 22.1.
