    When I place an Illustrator file within InDesign it will bring in CMYK data unless I change the CMYK white to a spot in AI and name it [Paper]. That was a head-scratcher when it first happened to me.

    Also, we audit watches in InDesign and so many Illustrator files bring in a swatch for C=0, M=0, Y=0, K=0 or the equivalent RGB swatch that then need to be deleted and replaced with [Paper]. This is one of many, many aspects of AI and ID that need to be aligned.

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.
