    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.2

    While possibly related, that was not my specific issue.
    I'll wait for the next release version and see if my problem was addressed as well.
    To recap, the problem I experienced was that Illustrator CC 2019 was adding colors to linear gradients in shapes that were NOT selected. When adding a color to a shape filled with a gradient, Illustrator CC 2019 would add that additional color to a previously created, non selected gradient.

    +Russ Gray That's interesting.
    You isolated the specific issue better than I did.
    I was hoping the latest update would fix this, but no such luck.
    For what it's worth, reinstalling a previous version is pretty easy.
    From the Creative Cloud application (via the Finder menu), just click the down arrow next to the "Open" button for Adobe Illustrator, and choose "Manage", then "Other versions".
    You'll get a pop-up list of previous versions you can click on to install.

    I reverted back to the latest version of Adobe Illustrator CC 2018.
    At least Adobe lets you install a previous version.
    Still surprised this shipped like this. I'd like to check out the new features in the latest version, but this bug was killing my productivity.

    Illustrator CC 2019 is adding colors to linear gradients on paths that are not selected. When adding a color to a path filled with a gradient, Illustrator CC 2019 often adds that additional color to a previously created, non selected gradient.
    This is with Mac OSX 10.13.6 on a mid 2011 iMac.
