    Hi Akshay,

    We were able to confirm the issue that you see. The issue indeed does not happen with Illustrator 2018 (22.1).

    We identified hyphenation as the potential culprit. To workaround the issue, either disable hyphenation in the Paragraph panel or make sure text does not get hyphenated.

    We are sorry that you experience the issue and are working on fixing the issue.

    @julien I've been facing this problem since a quite a while but tried to find some workarounds for the issue. If you want we can discuss this further. I would love to help. Let me know at theakshayagrawal@gmail.com

    Hey Dirk Schule, the workaround isn't solving the problem. Illustrator 23.1.1 on macOS 10.14.3 still converts text into a path. It's solving the issue with some of the files but no all. Please look into it. Thanks. If you want a sample of the files that are giving inconsistent results. Let me know. Thanks.

    @Dirk Schulze
    No, Illustrator is converting just plain simple text that too 'lorem ipsum' into path while exporting.
    While we aren't facing this problem in Illustrator 2018, Illustrator 2019 is being inconsistent into exporting the text.

    I've mailed the illustrator file to sharewithai at adobe dot com, subject of the mail is Abode SVG check by Akshay Agrawal.

    Exporting SVG on Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.2 on MacOS 10.14.3 is giving inconsistent results in regards to text. I am trying to export a file as an SVG with Font option set to SVG. However, the SVG file exported has some texts converted to paths or outlines and some texts are preserved as texts, which is what is desired. I have also tried this under Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.1 on Windows 10 Home with same results. You can contact me for a sample file for you to test since your system doesn't support upload of .ai or .svg file.
