    A current 'workaround' is to disable Transform Tools option in Preferences > Smart Guides. This removes the 'uniform' guide, making the smart guides less useful, but it stops it from jittering.

    Fair enough. It’s a bug 😁. It’s hard to imagine that there aren’t a lot of people who’d like to see it fixed.

    I don’t think it’s a bug. Illustrator has never been able to do that. Or is that kind of shortcoming more commonly referred to as a bug by the engineers?
    To answer your other question: I’m referring to the desktop version

    Not critical. But it’s a nuisance from time to time. In not a coder. Would it be difficult to achieve?

    Thank you so much! It never occurred to me to try to group things in the Appearance panel – heck, they're already there in a group! That works exactly like I want it to.
