If you still have this problem happening, please share a test file, the steps needed to get the behavior, and a video recording of it, with History panel opened in view, so the team can reproduce the issue on their side.

77 votesThis often happens when the bounding box gets accidentally turned off, presumably with the Cmd/Ctrl+Shift + B hotkey. You can turn it back on with this key or do it with the View > Show Bounding Box command.
Another possible reason is having edges hidden, with Cmd/Ctrl + H (View > Show Edges).

Selection tool does not work properly. It selects the total anchor points of an object, however it does not behave as the Direct Selection Tool, it only allows to move the object. It does not allow to resize. a single or multiple objects selected.
Illustrator version: 23.0.3
OS: Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4

After launch, Illustrator appears to mix documents/archives. For instance, as you can see in the video, I have an .ai and a .jpg file. They appear switched in the preview. When opened, both show the same object.
Illustrator version: 23.0.3
