    When I try and place or re-link an a simple or complex image in Illustrator 2021 (as well as 2019 & 2020) whenever I try and place an image (jpg, png, tif, pdf, etc.) into an Illustrator file I get a dialog box that pops up that says "An unknown error has occurred." Then I try the process again. I can repeat this for 5-15 times per image. Sometimes the image will place right away and other times it errors out.

    At first I thought it was the computer, but then it started happening on the 2nd computer (using same Adobe Account).

    I have removed and reinstalled AI and nothing changes. Any ideas because the this error makes using AI unbearable.

    I have been having this same issue with every file ever since updating to Illustrator 25. I have GPU turned off, and have turned a bunch of things off and nothing seems to help. It get's to the point where even doing a simple task that should take 10 seconds can take up to a minute to actually do. I have removed everything and even reinstalled and nothing helps.
