Hi Anmol, I have not run into the issue in Illustrator BETA (v30.3) yet, only regular Illustrator (v30.2.1). I can try exclusively using beta for the next couple days and see if it happens there too.

I've had the issue trigger several times today/yesterday. Seems to appear randomly when im working on a handful of large / boggy files. Swapping to CPU preview removes the issue, but ends up lagging and crashing shortly after. It may be triggering when working in isolation mode when objects have gradients... but I haven't nailed that down for certain.

Is there anything specific you need from system info? I want to avoid pasting confidential serial numbers, etc.

    OS: Windows
    Version: 11.0

You're correct - it seems to be correlated with the GPU. When I shut off GPU performance in illustrator prefs, it corrected the issue. I spent the latter part of yesterday using illustrator BETA after I got fed up -- I didnt find beta had the issue.

Im running windows 11 pro with a couple GPUs, but it should be using my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 card.

Since the issue only triggers now and then, I'm not experiencing it this morning yet. It started popping up periodically within the last couple weeks. I'll flip my settings back to how they were and work in regular illustrator to see if i can catch when it triggers.

I'll reply back when it comes up. Check this video I took yesterday... 'bizarre' is right!

After a couple hours of work in Illustrator CC, the click and drag feature stops working. This applies when using the all select and direct select tools when dragging anything from objects to corner points. The object (or point) highlights to show it's selected, but won't budge when dragged.

This started happening after the most recent CC update to Illustrator this week (~08.26.19). Haven't figured out what triggers it yet. Restarting the program fixes the issue, for now.
