   Saved a file as pdf and when it opened in Acrobat only got "This is an Adobe® Illustrator® File that was
   saved without PDF Content." message.

   Save Submitting...

2. "Save as PDF"/"View PDF after saving" checked/Acrobat DC error "file not found"

   I've found that what it has been opening for me is actually the temporary file, not the one that is saved in the location I indicated. Then if I try to open a recent that opened from the temporary location I get the file not found error.
