    Here is the solution Adobe sent me:

    • Close Illustrator.

    • Click on the Finder icon on the dock, choose Go on the top> Go To Folder.

    • In the Go To Folder dialog box, type "~/Library". Click Go.

    • Open the Preferences Folder > rename the Illustrator 24 Settings folder to Illustrator 24 Settings folder.old
    Under Preferences, Open Adobe folder and rename Adobe Illustrator folder to Adobe Illustrator.old

    • Go back to library->open caches->rename com.adobe.illustrator to com.adobe.illustrator.old

    • Go back to library->open application support-> open adobe->rename the Illustrator 24 folder to Illustrator 24 folder.old

    "This is an Adobe® Illustrator® File that was saved without PDF Content." I get this message in the file when I open up the pdf I saved from Illustrator. How do I get my pdf that I save in Illustrator to save correctly? My programs updated on their own, so I have the latest update.

    I am also having this problem. If I open the ai file in Adobe Acrobat I can make the pdf work but that is a pain if you have multiple layers.

    GERRR. This is happening to me too. I had to open the ai file in Acrobat and save it as a pdf. This is NOT convenient.
