    UPDATE: I modified my File Handling Preferences per the post below (by Anonymous) and it seems to be working well. Anyone know if and when these preferences should be turned back on?

    This is maddening. I agree, it's still doing it with 24.0.3

    I too thought there was something wrong with my computer. Going to try some of the suggestions below. Unreal. Way too much unbillable time waiting around.
