Export quality for EMF or WMF
When exporting to emf or wmf formats to get editable vectors into PowerPoint the details in curves or small marks get all messed up. For example the details of a registered trade mark on a logo will be distorted or the curve of a letter o will become choppy. This is a huge issue for us and I'm hoping quality settings like the options provided for exporting and svg would fix the issue.
Thank You

I found this to work if you have Illustrator on a Mac but not on a PC, and have PowerPoint on your Mac and PC. It's a bit clunky but it works well...
1. Save an Illustrator file as an .ai file on your Mac
2. Place it into a Powerpoint file on your Mac
3. Open the PowerPoint file on a PC
4. Right click on the art in PowerPoint and go to Save Image As...
5. Save it as an EMF or SVG.
The resulting file works well on both PC and Mac. Just don't try to open the resulting file and alter it on a Mac otherwise it will be distorted again. Go back to the original .ai file to make changes and start at 1. again. -

Indeed, up-scaling your image before WMF export operations seems to be the only option right now. Too bad.

I was hoping to find a better solution, but the workaround I've used is to blow up the size of the illustrator drawing REALLY BIG, before exporting the emf.

Hi! We just had the same precision problem with exporting from Illustrator to EMF format. We found that it is an Illustrator problem, because when we open again the exported EMF file with Illustrator, it was already incorrect. It seems that the Illustrator could not able to export correctly to EMF. The SOLUTION WE FOUND: We opened (in windows) the Illustrator .AI file with CorelDraw, and form CorelDraw we exported to EMF file. The result was very good and we can insert this EMF file to Word as well. Another SOLUTION is nowadays to export SVG format, but it could use only with the newest Office 365 versions, the older ones coud not open it.

You can prefer SVG file format for working with vectors outside Illustrator.
