Archimedean Spirals
Surely this should just be a default option for spiral drawing, in the current state of design i would imagine regular spirals would be used far more often than logarithmic, the current way to create them is lengthy and cumbersome.
Hope this makes it!

How does this not exist yet and how come only 3 votes. Please Adobe!

I'd like adobe to consider adding a proper tool to create a Archimedes spiral / circle. Currently it's a convoluted way to create one, scripts don't give me the control and I'm unsure how to modify the script.
There have been too many times where I've needed this option.

I think getting to select different spirals; Archimedean, logarithmic and parabolic (more if they exist) could be selectable as are different types of gradients. In any case, I thing an Archimedean spiral tool is valid.

Agreed ... and let us edit them AFTER the fact like you can in Inkscape. I use Inkscape to create my spirals now ... fortunately I can just copy and paste it into Illustrator instead of having to save the file in Inkscape & open it in Illustrator, but it's still a waste of computer resources to have to it that way. For that matter, let us edit stars (#points, Inner & outer radii) after the fact too! Again, if Inkscape can offer this then why can't Illustrator?

The basic drawing tools of Illustrator have some glaring holes that people have filled with clunky workarounds for years. Illustrator should be able to draw Archimedean spirals with the spiral tool!

Agreed. This is a feature that is long missing. Inkscape does this very well. All it would take is another stepper for divergence.
