Hi,
To deselect a path while using pen tool is to press the modifier and then tap. Not just a double. If it is something else please do us know.
Thanks

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedHow does this not exist yet and how come only 3 votes. Please Adobe!
An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedI think getting to select different spirals; Archimedean, logarithmic and parabolic (more if they exist) could be selectable as are different types of gradients. In any case, I thing an Archimedean spiral tool is valid.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.0.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedAh, such a pain. Just started happening to me - the biggest change I made recently, was a system update to big sur (and I held of for 6 months, thinking all these kind of bugs should be sorted).
I'm not sure what the triggers are for me - seems to happen randomly when panning.
I only have to close and reopen the doc for the GPU to work again (ie, I don't have to quite Illustrator completely.
I rolled back to Ai 25.2.2 from 25.2.3 (no issues before big sur), but didn't seem to fix.

I think it's to do with live paint. I'm having some issues attaching a screen recording (13mb) here though

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedEgor, I trialled them for an hour yesterday, then bought the whole productivity pack, they were that good. Like I say; also went through some of my old requests here as he had already made the tools! (open offset).
not to go off-topic, but can you recommend other 3rd party devs or a site with recommendations? I wish I'd known about RJ years ago ;-)

Are you suggesting adobe will implement his tools, or to buy his plugins? (they work with Ai 2020.)
In any case, thanks for the tip! His plug ins are amazing, and actually solve other requests I've wanted!Emile supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedIt turns out RJ graffix has already made a plug-in that allows us to 'fence cut' along multiple paths. His plug ins are amazing, and i at least recommend anyone who wants this to trial some of them.
https://rj-graffix.com/downloads/plugins/. (cutting tools)
An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedI often need to cut paths to the edge of the artboard, or within a shape – especially when making guides.
In my example I show an isometric grid that I'd like to appear in a circle.
If I mask it, the strokes will still exist inside the mask. I can't make guides from a masked object.
If I use pathfinder and outline it, I will get points along every intersection, which in the case of an isometric grid slows illustrator down immensely (and may not be appropriate in any case).
I'd like to be able to 'cut multiple paths along a key path'. Whether its a closed shape (which would crop) or an open path (ending up with multiple anchor points along a line). The anchor points would only appear where the key path intersects the others.

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedHey, I managed to find what may be the solution for this.
Sometimes, and I don't know why (as there's no shortcut assigned), the 'Snap to grid' view get's turned on. Then the pen tool will only add a point when you are hovering over a grid intersection. So; turn off snap to grid (view>snap to grid) and hopefully that solves it.The images show the same line with the pen tool in the same place:

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile commentedI just had this idea for myself, and glad to see other people feel the same. It would be great if it works across libraries too.
I'd at least like to assign RGB and CMYK values to 1 swatch so the switch between is optimised to my selection. No one wants small fractions of colour in their cmyk.

Really feel this is an important urgent issue that maybe wouldn't be a huge addition? Just a check box pref How can we get more votes?
