Allow to snap gradient sliders to integer values
I'm huge fan of snapping.
I snap tabs to units, I snap to grid, I snap almost everything — this allow me to narrow my design workflow and keep artwork organized.
Not everyone does need this, but I do.
I suffer from absence of snapping for gradient sliders.
I wish I can move one and make it snap at 40, by eye, and not 40.73 and then correct this value by hand.
Please, make an option to snap sliders to integer values.

Gary, I like that. Definitely would love to be able to snap the gradient sliders live on canvas... but this can also be maddening for many folks who care less about this. I’d say this should be an option, and should be disabled by default.

Or even better, have a smart guide that runs up when holding the slider so you can see the gradient point compared to the other grahics on the artboard! ... and then as a bonus improvement, perhaps allow snapping to objects that the guide hits!

Meanwhile Astute Graphics came up with the Gradient Forge plugin that allows snapping stops to a chosen value: 0.5, 1, 2, 5, or 10% (amongst many other cool things). Plus it allows to snap directly to a middle of a distance between two stops.

I think this is a good idea. I would like to add that it should also have an option to toggle back and forth between integer and continuous.
Because Illustrator doesn't have an option for sampling post-effect colors, I sometimes like to place keys somewhere between two existing keys, because this creates a new color that is interpolated that much between the two colors.
Having to eyeball 50% or 25% between two keys is very difficult, and it would be much nicer to have a way of snapping on input instead of afterwards. Changing the location after placing the key keeps the color and moves it, instead of resampling the gradient for the color I actually wanted.

I don't need precision of two decimal places for gradient. I need integers. Now I have to use scripting to round values afterwards and it's not OK. Why Tabs has snapping to values and Gradients don't? Bring it!
