Onion skinning is a 2D animation technique. In the making of traditional animations, artists draw on very thin papers and place the papers on a light source. By doing so, an artist can see through the frames, and compare the keyframe and the inbetweens.

Timeline for Photohsop is an old feature.
But I can’t remember anything like this on Ai. Are we really talking about the same thing? Animation Timeline in Ai? -

I noticed with the 2021 version of Photoshop that you added Timeline. Will you guys be adding a Timeline to Illustrator soon?
Years ago Illustrator had a timeline built in it and I loved it and used it a lot. Then it was taken away. Will Adobe be bringing that feature back soon?
Please do. -

frame to frame, similar to photoshop, this should be easy to implement!
