Canvas HTML5 with layers from Illustrator website
I did this years ago.
You still can't.
Export HTML5 canvas from Illustrator, multiple layers - all configurable as a web app.

Huh, I completely missed it. Alas, the site is down. Ai, however, is still up. Hm...
An idea is an interesting one, and I bet a lot of folks would love to play with it, but after 5 years since the post there are other methods and tools available — and little demand expressed here at UV...
Voted, since I’d love this to exist. Still, what was the request? 'Make this from the box'? 'Look what I made?' -

Yes this whole thing was created in Adobe Illustrator, exported, then parsed, then converted to the relevant (at the time) canvas library, and imported each layer / object as a separate shape into the canvas. Color was a port of Kuler.com at the time. As you may have recognized. Long abandoned obviously. Still, I don't know why you don't do something similar on a broader scale. Obviously it's where I wanted to be at the time, and had to hack Illustrator to make it happen.

Create a layer-or group-based online configurator.
With color-generation.
Really? easy. You guys are the core of this tech, and I used your stuff almost a decade ago do create this, and yet here we still are - I thought by now you'd have done something basic at least. No.
