Allow to change color & width of border / edges for artboards (all and active)
Sometimes when I am using black colour I cant see properly my artboard size so I have work with the guides instead of using the change artboard colour option so it gets annoying. If there were an artboard frame colour option it would be easier to compare my design w.r.t. the artboard

This feature is very important to make Illustrator more modern compared to competitors who currently have an better artboard selection.

I'm so surprised this isn't an option yet. For me, even swapping the active artboard color with the inactive one would be so much better. The black just blends in and I have no idea where the edge of the artboard is without putting guides over the edge of the artboard.

Every time (when I see all the artboards at once, zoom out) I click on one of the artboards in the artboard panel it's hard to tell which artboard is it. Would be great if there was a clear highlight on the actual artboard that was chosen in the artboard panel.
Don't want to double click artboard because then the view zooms to that artboard only.
Thanks,

Please make this happen. Working with black art is miserable. You cant see the art board boundaries. I'm constantly making the art opacity 50-75 to ensure its correct and then putting back to 100%. Note: the bleed line is red and easily visible. Do that with the art board line. Please.

It's important when you have a black background you dont see if you typed over the board. I could see it here as my arrow was yellow. Positioning of the textbox keeping it away from the end of paper surprise.

Yes please. This is exactly the kind of update Illustrator needs.

This please. Exactly the kind of stuff we need and that would improve the Illustrator UI.

This so much. I just printed 3 meters wide logo wall and have to print it probably again. The main reason was because I failed to see the borders of the artboard in Illustrator because of the black background that hiders the artboard borders.

Yes, we need this. How about smart artboard frames, that change colour to contrast with large objects on the artboard?

Simple. Set the selected artboard stroke to difference mode and allow it to always be on top. That way it will show up when a different color background is used (like black). Or better yet, allow us to assign an artboard edge color (per document).

Selected artboard border indication border color & width
When managing multiple artboards 20+
Its hard to know wich one is selected.
I use this for copy / paste elements when working on google banners or ad sets. -
This should be re-addrressed, I agree. Slight darkening of the artboard's edge is not enough to notice.

When we work on multiple artboards, it will be good to recognize the artboard who is used when I select a object or I click on a artboard and to active it.
So when I select all elements in my document, with the keyboard shorcut, all of the objects of my active artboard will be selected. Or if I select an object every where, the artboard containing this object will be activated automatically.
often, i select all objects on my first arboard but he's not active and when I paste in place in an other artboard of an other document, he's not placed at the good place !!! I must double click on the artboard to be sure that he's active. -

Please figure out a way to better display the artboard boundary when the current artboard has black art. Instead of making the current art board border black, make it invert whatever the colors of the art are.
