Envelope Distort in Effect > Distort menu, to be compatible with Appearance
Wouldn't it be logical to add the Envelope Distort to the Effect > Distort & Transform menu (as well)?

It can't be accessed through the Appearance Palette, but has to be 'Reset' via the menu.

Jan, it does participate in appearance, see the attachment.
What exactly do you want? Can you explain further?Envelopes, as blends, meshes, and now repeats, produce plugin object, that have objects within. If you need to access the contents — you usually can isolate them or switch a mode. So it can be edited. And you can place appearance in stack on top or below the container. You can't duplicate it, because it IS the object. You can. But you can apply effect below the contents just fine.

Envelope Distort has an entry in the Appearance palette, but that doesn't seem to be of any use. It can't be edited, deleted or moved.
Why not make it really part of the Appearance?
