Zoom should zoom into the mouse pointer, Pathfinder creates too many anchors
- Zoom should be zooming to position of mouse, but it zooms "all over the place" when close up.
- Pathfinder subtract creates unnecessary amount of anchor points + gaps. Even with setting 0,001 in Pathfinder options
This has been going on for years, and Adobe is informed about these fundamental bugs several times. Time to fix the fundamentals and clean up the bugs.

Zoom to Selection partially solve the zooming problem in the newest Ai versions.
As for the Pathfinder problem — if anything like this happens in newer versions of Illustrator, please make a new report and share again the full specs of your current machine, along with the test file the team can use to reproduce it in house.
