Convert repeated patterns into paths
I want to take a repeated pattern and use the shape builder on the result. There does not seem to be a way to finalise a pattern so that it can be converted to curves.
As per the comment (quoted):
Select your pattern. In the task bar (on the right), tap object (square with dots in the corner and shapes inside of it) and choose Expand. This will create a grouped object inside a clipping path. The pattern can no longer be edited with the repeat task. If you want to delete the clipping path, double tap it and delete (you might want to change to Outline view to see the clipping path easier). Ungroup the objects or just double tap the object you want to edit.

If you click on the object, and then click on 'appearance', there is a little 'cancel' icon that you can click which will expand the shape.

I See it's working now, it wasn't working back when the feature was first released. Thank you for the update, Egor

You actually can, Danilo!
Object > Expand... first, then Pathfinder’s Merge, to get rid of a clipping mask and weld the content. It won’t work with more complex objects 100%, but is perfect for your case.
Please try and comment back if it works for you. -

Would be great to have a way to expand the appearance (convert to shape/outline) of an object created with the new Repeat feature, so we can further edit it.
Please see the attached video for reference.
