Straight lines with Eraser, Brush, Pencil tools
Many users have been asking for this feature for a long time: draw a line between two points with the eraser freely, without it being at 45°.
Why is that not possible? Like drawing with solid lines, without having to convert the contour line thickness (like the Blob Brush). Or constrain the brush as a spot between two precise places, which would amount to the same.

This may be a repeat of a message posted yesterday which I do not see. However, I feel it would be a significant improvement from current process.
I have been a user of PS for many years. One of the really nice features is how the Brush, Pencil, and Eraser work. Especially working in confined spaces. When selecting a point clicking they can then hold down the Shift key and draw or erase a straight line. The Ai Pen tool also has this feature as well. Not sure why this cannot be applied to other tools?

Photoshop has always had a method to remove or apply a Line in a straight line. Clicking a Start point and End point and holding down Shift you can cleanly apply or remove the line with little to know effect on surrounding areas. You can also Mask of course.
However, in Illustrator the Eraser is very awkward in using. I do not see where you can use a mask the way you can in PS.

Is it possible to improve the eraser tool? t would be useful to have the same improvements than in the photoshop one, , follow a path, or make a straight line from point to point
