New Free Distort effect interface
We really need a global, accurate transform and distort window in the application. It needs more detail, the ability to recall the last applied action and interaction with bitmaps. This is a feature people have been asking for nearly 20 years - I've even designed it for you! Can you build it now?

Yeah, this dialog is a shame.
Perhaps you might want to try Stylism by Astute Graphics, which gives this effect nice on-canvas controls. Sure, you won’t be able to make smooth points, like you show in the mockup, but worth trying.
For anything more complex than a four straight point we have Envelope Distort and free MeshTormentor plugin to make custom meshes with an ease.

The free distort option can have more controls in terms of snapping, or pixels? Basically, a little more control would give a great output. Right now I have to keep doing trial and error every time WITHOUT preview to reach the final output.
