Make holding spacebar reposition a selection while resizing it, anytime, not only while it gets create
When using Illustrator on a Mac, I am able to create a shape, resize the shape and then simultaneously press space bar to move the shape around while resizing it.
However on Windows, this feature only works on the initial creation of the shape. Once it has been created spacebar no longer works to allow me to move the shape around whilst resizing.

Hi Egor, It seems to have stopped working on my Mac after I updated to MacOS Ventura, perhapse just a coincidence but I did try rolling back to an older version of illustrator too but didn't fix it either.
It definitely used to work, not just for shapes but for grouped artwork aswell – I could resize a group of objects, text, images and at the same time reposition the group by holding spacebar (without having to release my left click).
I noticed it straight away when I went between my Mac and my windows rendering PC and was one of the reasons why I carried on using my Mac for any graphics work.
You're quite welcome to change the title as you mentioned! I hope I can use this feature again as it speeds up my design flow. Thanks!

Yep, thanks for the link, I’ve read it all and visited the source mentioned there. And the source also states 'while still drawing', and not 'when editing a shape with the tool'.
I am pretty sure it was never the case, but it’s something of the 'Mandela effect' memory alteration — it feels like it should work after a shape is complete too, but in fact it never was. It’s not an accusation, no, but only my guess! And all those who I asked for this, who teach Ai from those days, confirmed it was never the case.
But — I think it’ a neat thing to have, as you say. Doesn’t break anything and is helpful.
Do you mind me changing the title to something like 'Make holding spacebar reposition a shape while transforming it with its tool, after it is already created'? -

Hi Egor, I've recently gone back to using my mac and this feature is not working on my Mac now either.
This reddit post shows exactly the issue I'm having and they're on a mac too: https://www.reddit.com/r/AdobeIllustrator/comments/3k7icw/help_i_cant_move_shapes_like_i_used_to/
It used to work the same way when using the pen tool, in that you're able to re-position anchor points while drawing by holding the spacebar.
It's a shame this doesn't work anymore as it was very useful for aligning objects and artwork whilst resizing. Now i have to resize, click off the artwork, then reselect it in order to move it.

Tom, I never heard about being able to use space to reposition a shape after it’s been created.
I asked several Mac users to test it — and they confirmed you can’t do and none of older versions they have access to can’t allow this either.
Are you sure it is possible for you on Mac? Can you record a short video of this?
Even though it’s not a thing apparently, according to these sources, I find it useful to have.
