Illustrator keeps crashing on me when I scroll through the layers panel. How do I stop this?

Hard to advise anything here :(
Except maybe try to package the file and send it over to sharewithai@adobe.com, for the team to investigate it and test out.
If you do so, please add the link to this report, so that they can track it — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/46483891
Also provide the exact specs of your system, as full as possible. -

This has happened with ai files with many layers, with and without embedded/linked images. The app would crash when dragging the scroll bar down on the layers panel using my pen on my Wacom Cintiq, sometimes within minutes of opening the app and start working on a file. When I send the crash report, there are no solutions. I believe I have experienced this for the last 2 or 3 versions, even the most current version today.
I've uninstalled Illustrator and re-installed it after experiencing the crash several times today and was finally able to finish the file I was working on. But I would like to prevent this or resolve this when it happens again in the future.
Would this have anything to do with caches or scratch disks?

Jimmy, does it happen with a particular document, or for any document at all?
Is there a difference on how you scroll, with a mouse wheel or with the scroll bar of the panel? Do you scroll all the way through, or does it crash somewhere in the middle?
Did you send the crash report, or Ai never offered this?
What is the version you are using now?
