Sorry I mean ARTBOARD SIZE.

Do you mean canvas size (which doesn’t seem to make sense) or an artboard size?
If the latter — there is a free script that you can use for this, FitSelectionToArtboards, https://github.com/creold/illustrator-scripts/blob/master/md/Item.md#fitselectiontoartboards
If not — please elaborate more and share some examples.
