Remove the window below the artboards that reads "Select an artboard with graphics and try Generative Expand to extend the artboard"
With whatever update came out, there is now a message that reads "Select an artboard with graphics and try Generative Expand to extend the artboard" on the artboards panel. This limits how many artboards you can see, and I am a person who has files with 40+. I tried using the feature to see if it would get rid of the message, but it still sits there. Please make this message removeable so I can get back to a quicker workflow and see all my artboards without having to scroll precisely. Thank you!

I would like to report an issue with the Adobe Illustrator artboard panel. The information message, such as "Select an artboard containing graphics and extend it using the generated usage," is obstructing my workspace. There seems to be no direct option to hide it, and it’s affecting my productivity. I hope Adobe can consider adding a feature to toggle this message off in future updates. Thank you!

Give us an option to disable this at least! -

@Ally It's sounding more and more like I must have got lucky that it disappeared!
Sorry it's not worked for you, hope you find a solution soon 🙏🏽

@Elena, @Mike 's help didn't work on mine either, so you aren't alone. Thanks Mike for trying and the advice!
The "i" doesn't do anything, I've tried in multiple documents to actually use the tool and the ad still sits over the artboards.
Waiting on @Adobe to possibly read this and make this update ASAP
I will try @Markus advice on preferences because I am so desperate!! -

@Elena, Oh no, sorry it didn't work for you. Have you tried perhaps resetting your Preferences (a bit of a pain, because then you may need to go tweak your preferences again afterwards), but sometimes this helps to iron out glitches.
Mac: Illustrator > Settings > General > Reset Preferences
Windows: Edit > Preferences > General > Reset PreferencesRestart Illustrator... go back in and tweak your preferences to your liking (units, welcome screen, etc). Then create a new artboard. Select the artboard tool. in the Contextual Task Bar (Window > Contextual Task Bar) select Generative Expand, hit Enter.
That should get rid of the pesky ad. 😵💫
PS. It may be a good idea to look through the Preferences before you reset them to see if there are settings you set before... perhaps take screenshots if you are not too familiar with all the settings.

@Elena oh that's super-irritating, I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Hopefully a restart and trying again might do it?
It takes up so much space in the UI, I fully get your frustration.
@Markus I agree completely - it's great to learn about new features, but not at the expense of actual working space. Every little thing like this slows us down, and there's enough pressure with work already, fighting with the tools is not needed haha.

@Mike Thanks for this tip, but for me it didn´t work. Even after trying the generative expand this super annoying ad didn´t disappear... :(

@Mike. Yes, that's the only way to get rid of it (as far as I can see).
It would be nice if they don't put these "ads" in the UI... Or at least have a Preference / Setting that advanced users can select to deactivate these "what's new" prompts. Advanced users will go research what's new in their own time.
Correct, the i in that modal didn't do anything. It's supposed to take you to the website for more information I guess, but it clearly doesn't work. 😂
Perhaps they should just keep all these in the notifications section (next to the share button). Nice, easy and clean.

To anyone else that's been struggling with this, I discovered the only way to get rid of this advert is to try using the generative expand.
To get rid of it select an artboard with the artboard tool, then Generative Expand will appear in the floating toolbar thing - click into that and go part-way through the process and the advert should disappear. I stopped before actually generating anything, and that seemed to be enough.
It did take a while to figure out where to actually find the feature, so the advert isn't even doing that job very well to be honest.
Please add an option to manually dismiss this advert and any others like it - it takes up valuable screen space on the layers panel and it was not clear that the only way to get rid of it was to try the feature.
Also the 'i' button appears to do nothing, at least on my system it did not bring anything up.
Adding a close or 'x' button to the advert and any others that are coming would be much appreciated (although I think adverts should not be part of UI). Thanks.
PS the scaling is broken on the tooltip popup - see attached. This is a separate issue but still. Win 11, 100% desktop scaling, Illustrator UI scaling set to 3 out of 9.

No excuse putting an advert on UI. Put it somewhere where it doesn’t get in the way.

I have a lot of artboards that I usually work with and I need as much space as I can get to organize them, so this useless "tip" is very disruptive for my workflow.
